AT DESERT GLASSHOPPER STUDIO, WE BELIEVE IN
TEACHING POSSIBILITIES.....
Desert GlassHopper
Studio began it's existince in a building
filled with glass art history, located in the old Historic Art
District in Cave Creek. The studio had been the former
studio(s) of glass artists: Melissa Paxton, Fire &
Fusion Glass Academy, Coyote Glass, Red Hot Glass, & Cave
Creek Glassworks.
Desert GlassHopper
Studio is the home of internationally
known glass artist Peggy Pettigrew Stewart.
Desert Glasshopper Studio is known for being innovative, creative,
and teaching cutting edge techniques in glass. There are
always talented glass artists working in the studio
throughout the year. Throughout the year, the
studio offers exciting glass workshops, and studio rental
time.
The
studio offers workshops taught by Glass Artists from
around the globe. The workshops are
about contemporary glass art: fused & kiln formed glass,
kiln cast glass, sandcarved / sandblasted glass, coldworking,
slumping & molding, & more. We have two studios, both
are equipped with state of the art equipment.
Desert GlassHopper Studio opened in
October 2002, after Red Hot Glass closed. From a humble beginning, Desert GlassHopper
Studio ( Fire & Fusion glass workshops) have become one of
the top studios to learn about warm & cold glass
techniques: Fused & kiln formed glass. We are
master glass sandcarvers. FLOAT GLASS & Plasma Fusion
glass are just a few of our creative classes. Our
studio is a full time professional glass studio, staffed by full
time glass artists.

Gallery is A wonderful &

workshop center, we have our own glass art gallery. Filled with
