"Have a Blast with Glass
(and float too)" with PEGGY
PETTIGREW STEWART, KEITH JONES & JEAN
LUTZ. This is a rare opportunity to work with these three
master glass artists. Each student will
learn sandblasting, sandcarving and the beautiful Verre
Eglomise technique of reverse (intaglio) carving.
This technique will also introduce each student to the art of
intaglio painting and inlay of copper, gold or silver metals.
This process can be used to make beautiful bowls, vessels,
sculpture, furniture, tables, sinks, and much more! We will be
working with the kiln and some fusing too. No experience
is required. However this class is suitable for anyone with or
without experience.
The "River To The Sea" vessel (above) is a
sample of Verre Eglomise and the intaglio carving. Class size
is limited. Learn to make beautiful art pieces, vessels even sinks
& tables! Three days of workshop, with three
instructors. The workshop is being held at our new studio at
the Carefree Resort & Villas in Carefree Arizona. Carefree is
just north of Phoenix & Scottsdale, in the foothills of
the Sonoran desert. For those who wish to stay at the resort, a
special rate of $69 is offered. This is a tremdous price, at a five
star resort (spa, golf, nightly activities, tennis, and more). And
of course, the only resort with a full time professional glass
studio, gallery & workshop center. For room reservations,
contact Elizabeth in reservations at 480-488-5300. Tell her
